Key points
UI Mode is an interactive working environment for tests:
npx playwright test --uiA window opens with:
- The test tree on the left, with a run button next to each test or file.
- Filters by status, project and name.
- Timeline, Actions and Snapshot as in Trace Viewer, for every run.
- Watch mode (the eye icon): the test re-runs each time you save the file.
Why it is convenient
Instead of running in the terminal and opening a report, you click a test and see right away what happened. It is the most convenient tool for day-to-day work.
